Migration is too slow — treatment and control look identical

Symptom
After extended culture the wound has barely closed and the difference between groups is not visible.
Common Causes
  1. 1 Cell vitality is poor
  2. 2 Culture conditions are unsuitable
  3. 3 Observation window is too short
  4. 4 Serum level is too low or chemotactic stimulation is inadequate
Solutions
  1. 1 Check cell state (passage, confluence, mycoplasma)
  2. 2 Extend the observation window appropriately
  3. 3 Optimize serum concentration and treatment conditions for the cell line
