Steps

1
Gather materials and clean surface

Review the item list and fill a crystallizer to the rim with distilled water. Gently roll a glass wand on top to remove excess water and make the surface as flat as possible.

2
Cast and clear Parlodeon film

Pipette a drop of Parlodeon solution vertically onto the water and let it harden into a thin layer. Peel off the first layer with tweezers to clear dust, then repeat to cast the final film.

3
Lay grids on the film

Place the grids on the Parlodeon film with number seven tweezers, keeping all grids with the same side facing down as a reference.

▶ 01:06
4
Soak and trim excess film

Cover the grids with another filter paper and let it soak with the underlying water. Tear or fold the excess film around the paper so it cannot fold back onto the grids.

▶ 01:32
5
Flip and dry overnight

Clamp opposite sides of the filter paper with two auto-closing tweezers and firmly flip it over without skewing. Place it in a petri dish to dry overnight.
