Pressure-Sensitive Film Not Adhering to Plate

Symptom
Sealing film peels away from plate wells either before or during thermal cycling, leading to sample evaporation or cross-contamination. Film appears to have poor bonding with well rim surfaces.
Common Causes
  1. 1 Insufficient pressure applied during sealing process, failing to establish complete contact with well rims
  2. 2 Incompatible pressure-sensitive adhesive formulation for specific plate material or surface treatment
Solutions
  1. 1 Apply sufficient firm pressure using seal applicator to establish strong bonding; ensure complete contact across all well rims
  2. 2 Consider switching to convenient cap mats as alternative sealing method to prevent evaporation
